M. Hanna handed out minutes of May 31, 2005:

Bob Mahaffey motioned to approve minutes with no corrections, 2^nd _ Yvonne Malikowski: All approved

Treasurer- Yvonne Malikowski:

Mary Hanna motioned to pay for the PO Box for $ 58. for 1 year. Bob Mahaffey 2^nd All approved

Robin reported

Phase II - Grounds--- There will not be a groundbreaking ceremony on July 30 because of a breakdown in communication with county representatives.

Old Business:

· Yvonne Malikowski – reported about the chamber mixer.

· Maintenance is in charge of opening the park in the morning. There has been a change of workers, so there are new employees. The issue has been addressed. If there are any problems, please let the Board know.

New business:

· August 2, Skate board park petition will be circulated by Robin Nute

· September 11, 2006. A candle light ceremony will be at the park

· October 29 Halloween: Haunted Park. Donations will be needed for candy, toys, any Halloween, etc.

· Mary Hanna motion that Carol Helferich relate to the County that we need a computer in the Park Building to create flyers to help communicate with the community. Bob Mahaffey 2^nd all approved.

· Thursday, 2:00 toy loan program begins at Sorensen Park. Those interested should see Carol Helferich.

Committee reports:

· Publicity: Kathy Terrones motioned that Carol Helferich be chairperson for publicity, Yvonne Malikowski 2^nd All approved .

· Robin Nute sent the letter to the owners of the lot at the corner of P and 170. She will follow up on this.

· Friends of the Park: Bob Mahaffey

o Mary Hanna will email John Shore for a copy of the document from March 15, 1994. She will also email Yvonne Malikowski a copy of the email.

o Mary Hanna motioned for Bob Mahaffey to create a letterhead for Lake Los Angeles Park Association that includes the 502 c 3 . Kathy Terrones 2^nd All approved

o Skate park: Robin Nute would like letters from local children that show support of the building of a skate park for Sorensen Park. Carol Helferich will be collecting letters and pictures that show support for the skate park.

· Fund raiser Committee: Dominic Fohrenkam

· Bylaws Committee: Kathy Terrones is typing the new bylaws

· Elections Bob Mahaffey chairman: Up for Reelection: Dominic Fohrenkam, Yvonne Malikowski, Robin Nute
