• All General Membership meetings are held at the Staff Trailer at Sorensen Park.

• Election Papers --( old one) This is a PDF file of the activities of the park and on the second page of the file is a copy of the application needed to apply for a position on the park board. You need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the PDF files.  If you do not have it, you may download it free from Adobe at the website: http://www.adobe.com/

• Elections are held each year in November  at the General membership meeting at 7PM at Stephen Sorensen Park Staff Trailer where the candidates can present themselves to the community.

•  November  is generally the deadline for mailing in applications to the Lake Los Angeles Park Association P.O. Box 500088 Lake Los Angeles, CA 93591. (The exact date has changed  each year.)

• How to turn in your application:

  • Give your application to an election chairperson, or, .....
  •  Mail the application the above address, or, .........
  • Bring the application to the board meeting in  November, 2009 and introduce yourself as a candidate

   

• In January  the General Membership meeting is for the installation of new officers of the board.

   

   

• Election cycle:  

  • Mary Hanna ,  John Morawski ,  and Kathie Fohrenkam  began in 2009, so elections for these positions will be in November of  2010.

  • Dominic Fohrenkam, Yvonne Malikowski, Kathy Terrones, and Robin Nute positions began in 2010. Elections for these positions will be in November of 2011.

• • Alternates are elected each year:  2010 alternates are Brandy Gorecki  1^st  alternate , vacant 2^nd alternate

Minutes of the Meetings:
Lake Los Angeles Park Association General Membership meetings - The general meetings are now combined with the board meetings. You are always welcome.
Lake Los Angeles Park Board meetings- click on the button of the board meeting you would like to read.	I had lost the minutes - Major computer breakdown.- then summarized them for the meeting- then was able to scan a hard copy. _Do not want to talk about printer problems- Whatever- - here are two versions of May 2010.Before this explanation is the reconstruct- after is the summary that has been accepted at the board meeting.                  July  meetings are a pot luck/ hot dog BBQ invitation to all board members of Lake LA: Chamber, Town Council, etc -at Sorensen Park.  June meeting notes were taken by Yvonne Malikowski and are available for review in the secretary file.                               June, 08 - no quorum, July, 08- no meeting                                                                         I missed the meeting of 9/9/04 because of Back to School Night. The meeting notes were taken by Robin Nute, and no business was conducted.

In memoriam:

In memory of our friends Robby Kelsey, John Jones,  and Paul Bean. They always helped whenever and wherever they could.  They  loved Lake Los Angeles. They are sorely missed.
