Old Business:

Rene Bobadilla reported: the contractor has completed the retaining wall, field lighting, electrical conduit, trash enclosure is completed, perimeter fencing posts, mesh next week, pouring concrete tomorrow, Monday they will be pouring sidewalk forms, 80% of the final  complete for contractor, may be done by December.  The contractor is moving very fast. Archeological finds were cared for. Hydro-seeding will be done in December. If the weather isn’t suitable for hydro-seeding, there will be a delay.

Once the feasibility study is finished – expect Dec. -they will start planning the next phase. The percolation is still being discussed. A site at the park can percolate. It is in the south west corner.

Part of the mitigation for local and environmental effects is to incorporate local flora.  The request was made by a member of the audience to incorporate solar energy and alternate energy sources. The board agreed that solar and renewable energy sources should be part of the planning for the park.

The contractor –Environmental Construction has been an excellent contractor for working with the county to make sure the best and quickest work is being completed for the community.

The basketball court looks finished, but it is not yet.  The basketball courts will remain where they are going in. The community building will be built in a different location.

New business:

Committee reports:

·                                Friends of the Park: Bob Mahaffey, Bob announced that he has a sign up sheet for friends of the park. All are welcome and needed.  Kids can also sign up to help, but must give him an idea of their age so he doesn’t rely on him or her to be a person who could give adult-type assistance – e.g. driving, etc.

·                                County reports- Carol Helferich- The after school program is going, Santa Claus will be visiting, the food pantry is working, the teen talk program is starting, no graffiti, no problems at the park. Mary Hanna asked if Carol could look into making it possible for community service to be performed at the park.  Dominic Fohrenkam and John Jones said it is already happening at Twin Lakes Church.  Carol said she will look into it, but doesn’t foresee any problem.
